Uh, so… yes — this is a Minecraft-related post. I may play it on occasion. Creepers, little bad guys that sneak up on you and explode are irritating. I feel like this ends up as an appropriate graphic for Halloween.

I was recently challenged to make an iPhone wallpaper that contained “Eye of the Tiger”, Mortal Kombat, swords, an automatic shotgun, and throwing knives. I knew I wanted to do some kind of whacky photo collage and this is the fruit of my labour.
To be fair, the shotgun in this thing isn’t automatic, the throwing knives are barely visible, and the Mortal Kombat reference has been replaced with a subtle ninja. But come on, it’s still pretty bad-ass.

I don’t have cable, but I’ve recently taken to watching Mad Men (entering season 3) and I’m loving it! Some of my favourite bits of the show centre around client interaction. I realize it’s a rather insignificant aspect of the show’s plot, but some of the client situations are so relatable that it makes my knees buckle. Working in an industry where meeting client needs are paramount I’m aware that from time-to-time a crazy is going to come along. However, when going through a bout of client-hell it’s hard to imagine anyone else in the industry having the same problem. That’s when those scenes in Mad Men come along and let me know that I’m not alone out there.
